This is the first time I'm joining the Top Ten Tuesday Meme so be nice with me .... The covers
on this list is in no particular order ...
If I Stay by Gayle Forman
About the cover
Nice colors. Warm and cold colors nicely mixed into each other and the picture is just haunting. I had never heard about the book before I bought it (have not yet read it but I will). Luckily I have heard many great things about this book so I can't wait to read it.
Fallen by Lauren Kate
About the cover
My fave colors. I especially like the dark blue tone. My fave color and even though girls in a dress is overused in these kinds of books I must admit that the dress is beautiful and the girl is so mysterious and sad. It's a great expression with that dark background. Simply beautiful even though it's a sad cover. A beautiful color but unfortunately it was a very boring book.
Every Last One by Anna Quindlen
About the cover
Never heard about the cover or the book but just look at that cover! It's pretty unique and different. Not sure what it's really about but of course I will read it. Just look at that cover. I like the way that glass thing is destroyed. It's beautiful but at the same time it gives us a warning about something. Maybe that not all families are perfect? We'll see. I'm definitely looking forward to read it.
The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman
About the cover
I just love the look of the characters and I love the mysterious background. That creepy guy in black makes me shiver. He looks really creepy but I like it a lot. I like creepy characters and stuff. And the book was amazing!
The Strain by Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan
About the cover
Another creepy but an exciting cover! I didn't knew how del Toro was until I found out it's the same guy who wrote and directed the wonderful movie: Pan's Labyrinth. I didn't know it before I had gotten the book so it made me real happy that he is one of the authors. Haven't read it yet but I' m pretty excited to read it 'cause this is a vampire books for adults. I like vampires for adult a lot better than for ya. Even though I read some ya-vampire books as well. But I do like the more old type vampires better. The ones that are true to the myths... I bought the books 'cause I just love that oil thing and the plane. I want to know what's gonna happen!
Døde menn går på ski by Knut Nærum
About the cover
This is such a fun cover. The author is not a "serious" author. He is very familiar in a TV-show here. He has a weird sense of humour. And this is a crime novel where he sort of make fun of the old "crime novel genre". I don't like the TV-show he is in but I do like some of his books which is fun to read. The cover is just hilarious.
Hush, hush by Becca Fitzpatrick
About the cover
I heard that the book was good but didn't really knew what it was about. I sort of knew though but the MAIN reason is the cover. Just look at it! It's so alive. I like how the body twists. The colors. The fonts. Everything is perfect and very well done. I would love to have a poster of it!
Die for me by Amy Plum
About the cover
Another book I bought which I didn't knew much about. The cover was haunting me so I just had to get it. It's stunning and dreamy!
Dead Simple by Peter James
About the cover
What can I say? I wouldn't run into them! It's such a creepy cover. It makes you think the worst has happened. So, I just had to have it and read it!
Gravbøygen våkner by Sigbjørn Mostue
